Pressing Pause

Here I am hankering after far-off lands….dreaming of and planning a girls’ (women’s) hiking weekend near Seville later this month, seeing in the New Year in Madrid with my family, and a visit to Berlin in the Spring.

It’s Monday. The end of a half-term holiday with the children. The two biggest boys gone back to school, but the two youngest children with a bonus day at home. Headspace needed by us all.

Quick morning walk with friends at our favourite local haunt: Knole Park, Sevenoaks. Leaving the fog nestling in the vale below, we find Autumn colours glowing in the emerging sunshine. Deer all around us, with one majestic stag stopped in his kingdom. We wonder at a misty cloud formed in the shape of a rainbow. Fit as a Fruitcake christens it a cloudbow.

Perhaps the hankering should hold its breath awhile. Just for a little while though 😉
